0:00.0	The longest Psalm in the Bible is Psalm 119. It has been called the Psalm of the Scriptures because it concentrates on one thing, the amazing sufficiency of God's word for our lives.

0:50.3	Etymology is the study of words and specifically of the origin of those words, the history behind it, the development of that word and the definition of it. And frankly, I love it. I love to study words. Maybe you think that's a strange thing.

1:01.8	Bible, you need to pay attention to individual words. I found one of the most fascinating studies

1:21.3	word mean? And that's what we're doing with these nine words about the word.
1:32.9	Nine distinct words used by the Holy Spirit of God in Psalm 119 for the Word of God. Let's review just a moment because the first seven were found in the first section.
1:38.8	We have God's law in verse number one, and we've prayed, Lord, let your law teach me and direct me.
1:45.2	In verse two, we have God's testimonies.
1:48.4	That word means his witness.
1:50.5	Oh, Lord, let your witness, your testimonies be the story of my life, be personal to me.
1:58.1	In verse three, we have God's ways, his road, his, his playing course for our life.
2:04.4	Lord, show me your way and let it become my way. In verse four, his precepts, the idea of
2:12.1	God overseeing all the details of our lives. Lord, let your precepts direct every detail of my life today.
2:20.9	In verse 5, we found his statutes, something that was engraven or inscribed,
2:26.1	the written word of God.
2:28.0	And that started, of course, with Moses, God writing his commandments out for his people,
