The week started with the long-awaited news on Christian Brown's extension. As I mentioned,

when I was guesting on The Dig with Nick Herzog and Jeremy Pauley last week, I was hoping

for a five-year 122 million contract and it ended up 5-125.

It seems like a very reasonable piece of business for both parties and one of my favorite

nuggets of all time is now locked up for the next six seasons.

Peyton Watson did not get his rookie extension, so we will have to see what the next

summer is going to yield for him. On Thursday, the Nuggets finally started their regular season.

The Warriors who played a warm-up game against the Lakers two days prior hosted the good guys.

Let's get the sports clichés out of the way and say this was a real story of two halves.

In the first one, which Nuggets won by nine points, Joker had 14, 7 and 5 on 5 of 8 shooting and 2 of 5 from Beyond the Arc,

very standard, efficient Joker. Aaron Gordon had 25 points on 7 of 7 from the three-point line.
