The Flyers are looking to bounce back after a tough 3-2 loss of the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night on home ice. And it looks like they're going to have one of their young defensemen back in the lineup on Thursday to help them do it. I'm Charlie O'Connor with PHLY Flyers and PHLY Sports. And these are your Flyers post-practice notes. The Flyers fell 3-2 to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday in a very big game for

their playoff chances. The Blue Jackets are one of the teams the Flyers are chasing for one of those

final spots in the Eastern Conference and the games don't stop coming. On Wednesday, they were

on the ice for practice preparing for another three in four, three games and four nights, which will start on

Thursday against the lowly Chicago Blackhawks. They'll get an off day on Friday, but then they'll

head to Detroit on Saturday for a battle with another team they're chasing the Detroit Red Wings

before heading back home on Sunday for a game against the Cup contending Dallas Stars for their second three and four

in the last two weeks. Now, the Flyers were already in for some tough sledding in terms of making

the playoffs, but that loss on Tuesday night to the Blue Jackets did not help their cause even a little

bit. It's not just that they're behind. It's not just that they're chasing. It's that they're chasing

multiple teams. They're four points behind the Detroit detroit red wings who themselves are still out of a playoff

spot they're five points behind the islanders and the senators who are holding down that final

wild card two spot and then they are six points behind the pittsburgh penguins there are cross-state

rivals who are at the moment in possession of the third

spot in the Metropolitan Division. Basically, they can't afford to lose many more games that they

want any chance, and their chances are already pretty low. But I did talk to Travis Sandheim after

today's practice, and he said, basically, they just need to get back to the mindset they had on their

missing from the lineup on Tuesday night against the Columbus Blue Jackets, and that
