Thank you for joining me for today's episode of God Law and Liberty. And today, as I promised last week, I'm going to take us through some of the oral arguments that were made in the United States Supreme Court

last week in the case of L.W. v. Scrimetti. That's the case in which the court was trying to

determine or has been asked to determine whether Tennessee's law prohibiting the use of medicine to treat a minor's gender dysphoria

is a denial of the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment.

That clause, adopted after the Civil War, said that no state can deny any person equal protection of the laws within their jurisdiction.

And so I'm going to look at that today, but before I do, a couple of brief announcements, as you probably know from previous

episodes, if you've been listening for a while, I am retiring from my position with the Family Action

Council of Tennessee and Alliance for Law and Liberty as of December the 31st, 30 years of dealing with our state legislature. 12 as a senator

and now 18 as a lobbyist is more than enough. And so I'm leaving. But I'm not leaving the

podcast and I'm not leaving the work that I'm doing on trying to help people develop a biblical

conception of the law

in a way that honors God and know how to apply it, how to evaluate what their politicians and what judges

are saying. But I'll be found in a different forum or on different platforms. So just make a note of this.

I will be publishing commentaries at a new website that will be called Cross Politics News.

It's part of the Fight, Laugh Feast Network, and that news website will be launched sometime probably mid-February.

And so I'll be a guest editorialist on cross-politic news, and you can always go there and
