I am Jason Romano, and today we look back at a conversation from March of 2020 with two-time gold-glove-winning shortstop, Nick Ahmed, who was on an interview panel, if you

will, with Daryl Strawberry, the eight-time MLB All-Star, and a pastor named Rod Hirsten, as they

talked about manhood. And in that conversation, Nick Ahmed, who may have not had mentioned yet,

a shortstop with the Arizona Diamondbacks and of course a

two-time gold Glover. Nick Ahmed has the craziest testimony I think I've ever heard of a person

giving his life to Jesus. We've shared this multiple times on this podcast, but I would be remiss if I

didn't bring this back. And by the way, if I have Nick

Ahmed back on the podcast again, and hopefully we will, I'm going to ask him to share it again,

because it's so improbable, but it's so important, I think, for people to hear this story that

God can do anything in a person's life if you simply invite him in. Take a listen to Nick Ahmed from

March of 2020, sharing his incredible testimony here on Sports Spectrum. I started to realize

what I wanted since I was three or four years old. I wanted to do was play professional

baseball. And I was having that opportunity. I was doing it. I was living it. But I realized on the inside I was still that opportunity I was doing it I was living it

but I realized on the inside I was still empty I was still missing something I didn't really know what

it was I just knew I there's got to be something more this can't be it so I started to go to baseball

chapel I got invited to go I went you know once in a month and then the next month I think I went

twice and over the course the next two or three. I went once in a month, and then the next month I think I went twice.

And over the course the next two or three years, I went to some Bible studies on the road,

which was super awkward and uncomfortable the first time. I was like, what am I doing here?

But I just started to get the word kind of poured into me.

I had people around me, kind of showed me how to be a man, you know, in the game of baseball, you know, still love your wife, be a great dad, be a great husband, treat the people
