I'm John Bachelord with the Nesta, a Roojah former foreign minister to the Republic of

Brazil.

And Joseph Umar, executive director of Secure Free Society, the New World Report, you

will recall the surveillance balloon, People's Republic of China passing over Canada and the

United States until the U.S. gave the order to shoot it down.

There was a second balloon at the same time passing over Central America and then onto

the continent we believe over Venezuela.

Joseph Umar's Secure Free Society has a very helpful chart showing the possible destination

or passageway of the balloon and how it ties to other events in the region.

Joseph, do we believe this is the same type of surveillance balloon that was brought

down off the coast off the Carolinas and do we know its fate where it went?

Well, it certainly looks like that, John.

The Chinese foreign ministry actually confirmed it was their balloon and then the Colombian

and the Costa Rican security authorities also confirmed that they cited the balloon over

their airspace.

Obviously, there was a completely different reaction from the Latin American government

than from the U.S. government.

We eventually shot down the spy balloon that was flying over the United States as it left

the South Carolina.

But the Latin American government aside from confirming that they saw the balloon really

didn't say anything.

They didn't complain about it.
