There are new policies and there are policies that are in place because of necessity.

One is the Darian gap.

We've spoken of it at length over these last years.

The Darian gap is now said to be experiencing a surge.

The UN Refugee official commenting on this expects the pace at the Darian gap to hit a

record this year.

I also mentioned a strange story that we have this morning to the professor.

Cuba announces new migration policy.

What we have is this.

Cuba announced within hours that ease restrictions on its citizens living abroad as the

comments from the nation continues to grapple with an unprecedented number.

Exit is sub-migrants.

The Foreign Ministry said passports would be valid for 10 years instead of 6, for Cubans

over 6 years of age.

This is a mystery to be, Professor.

Cuba is not a friendly authority in the Americas.

What do you make of this idea of the Cuban officials concerned with Cubans living abroad?

Many of whom have either escaped, fled or departed by paying a lot of money to people

to take them to the Darian gaps so they can reach the US.
