There was recently an assassination of a former military man from Venezuela who was in

Santiago for sanctuary because he was sympathizing with the opposition in the upcoming election.

This gang that's said to be operating in Venezuela, in Chile from Venezuela, is it related

to that assassination or is this a separate problem?

I wouldn't necessarily say it's separate, but I think there's also some confusion by the Chilean authorities

as to how this actually took place.

First let me begin with just the kind of context of what happened at Chile.

So Chile is probably the country arguably one of the most impacted by the Venezuelan immigration that was very much unfettered
