election is next year, but Panama couldn't be more critical to the success of the United States these last hundred years since the building of the Panama Canal.

At the same time, Panama is a banking center and a legal center for

Central America for the Americas, for the Europeans.

And to my knowledge, it is also the nexus of the anxiety about migration through the now

infamous Darien gap thousands tens of thousands coming from all over the world
