Leaning the vote count in the Venezuelan opposition's

presidential primary by huge margin and she has claimed

victory in the contest the vote to choose a new unity

opposition candidate to face Nicholas Madura in its probable

re-election bid next year came amid pledges by the US to roll back sanctions relief

if the government fails to lift bans, preventing some opposition figures, including

Ms Machado from holding office.
