Buenos Aires Reuters reporting in these hours, Argentina voted in a general election with Perrinist economy minister Sergio Masa

posting a surprisingly strong first place finish

despite a major economic crisis ahead of the wild-haired pre-vote favorite radical

Libertarian Javier Malay. Masa and Malay will go to a runoff November 19th to take the presidency from mid-December

replacing outgoing senator, center-left Perraniste President Alberto Fernandez.

Masa ended the night with nearly 37% of the vote versus Malay at 30%.
