Russian warships enter Havana Harbor under Washington. the Marine churned into Havana Harbor, a stopover, the U.S. and Cuba

said posed no threat, but which was widely seen as a Russian show of force

as tensions rise over the Ukraine war. That's Reuters reporting. I mentioned

Reuters always because it has a European point of view, therefore no particular

dog in the fight of American politics, and also

writes very clean copy.

What we're looking at here is a rehearsal not unlike the

original Cuban missile crisis of now some 60 years ago. At the same time, the world has changed.

The Soviets are gone.

The Caribbean is quiescent, in general except for Haiti,

and prosperous in general except for Haiti and prosperous in general except for Haiti and the focus is on a war in

Europe hard to believe 60 years ago that's where we'd be and yet this Russian

flotilla is stirring the waters of all of the Americas.

First, they're emphasizing it's no threat.

Well, of course not.

You're not going to sail a fleet into Havana and open fire on the U.S.
