I'm John Batcher with Professor Evan Ellis of the US Army War College helping me understand

the crisis at the border in terms of human beings seeking a better life, seeking to join

their friends, their village mates, people they know in the United States.

I have experience with this because I have followed a reporter who has followed a family

from Haiti over the last two years.

They are now in the United States waiting, hearing or a procedure about their refugee status.

But in any event, it is possible to get to a better life.

That is one part of the story at the border.
