Ecuador's national assembly began an impeachment hearing against President Lasso, who could

be removed from his post, though the process increases the likelihood he will dissolve

the legislature to avoid a final vote.

92 votes from the 137 members assembly are needed to remove Lasso.

I hope there because we've been marching Lasso in Ecuador for some weeks.

Do I say correctly that he is one of the right of center leaders in South America?

Do I say generally correctly that this is the same process we saw go on in Lima, Peru

before the removal of Castillo, who is now in jail?

Is Lasso in a similar trouble or is this another story of one side says corruption?

The other side says proven.

John Lasso is definitely in trouble.

He's definitely on the ropes.

As you mentioned, the 92 votes out of the 137 legislature that he needs.

His archiponet, Rafael Correa, his pledged, basically the support of his block, but there

are other kind of discontented with Lasso's leadership.

The very strong re-election of the person who has led the national assembly,

Verhiro Sacacela, who had really led the charge to impeach Lasso over the alleged involvement

with the embezzlement in this state and transportation company, Flopec.

Certainly, signals that things are proceeding in a negative direction for Lasso.

And I think there's a broader frustration with his leadership.
