China's President Xi Jinping and his Brazilian peer, Lula de Silva,

upgraded the status of diplomatic relations within these last hours and struck

agreements on infrastructure, energy, and agribusiness, tightening links between two of the

world's largest developing economies. A state visit in Brazil kept a regional tour by Xi,

writes Reuters, that showcase Beijing's growing

diplomatic clout during a tricky government transition in Washington. Very neatly said.

Brazil and China, is this new professor of the long work together, China needing food,

and Brazil having lots of it? Brazil has long been one of the key partners for China in not only South America, but the

Americas in general.
