This is the New World Report and we're watching Javier Malay, the elected and president-elect of Argentina, a country that's deeply in trouble

with inflation, with its loan from the IMF, with its

ability to generate a way out, a way ahead domestically. But foreign policy now.

President-elect Mala is on his way to Israel.

That is a war in Eurasia that is matched by the war in Ukraine, that is matched by the

disorder around the planet.

I'm going to be much more local about foreign policy of Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay and Brazil to the east, Chile to the west.

Professor, I note that Paraguay and Uruguay are often in the news. I believe that Paraguay now has a president who is one of the only, if not the only,

other right of center president in all of South America.

And that alone suggests that Mr. Malaya has a very difficult path ahead of him if he's going to be a comrade with his neighboring

presidents.
