Foreign Minister of the Republic of Brazil. Ernesto, the news of Lula de Silva has grown increasingly

alarming these last days. The Reuters report most recently that the president sustained a head injury last month,

characterized now by in late October Lula Phil at home,

suffered a small brain hemorrhage and trauma to the back of his head that required stitches,

according to his personal doctor.

That's led him not only to not attend the

BRICS meeting in Kazan, Russia, but I believe he will not be going to a meeting of critical

environmental meeting in Latin America coming up. So what we're looking at here are the unknowns

of his health. I need to learn first what you can tell us about these reports, and second, what are the unknowns of his health. I need to learn first what you can tell us about these reports,

and second, what are the protocols of governance

if Mr. De Silva must step aside momentarily for his health?

Sure, John.

So the medical reports look credible to most people.

He talks about this being fake in order for Lula not to attend bricks, they are not there anymore.

I mean, I think no one is still with that sort of conspiracy theory.

That being said, maybe they are playing, let's say, the higher note regarding the reports,

talking about brain hemorrhage or even if it's small,

in order to prove in a way that, well, he couldn't travel to Bricks.

Because that was a big issue.

He was very much criticized on the left for, let's say, being scared of the U.S., especially, of the Americans,

maybe of a possible Trump victory,
