in the streets of Lima, Peru, Wall Street Journal reporting. President Dina Belarte ordered

soldiers into the streets of Peru's second largest city. Wednesday, 24 hours passed to protect

infrastructure and quail violent protests that erupted following last week's ouster of

her predecessor, Pedro Castillo. The government said troops were deployed to Araquipa to protect

judicial buildings and the companies that provide electricity and water. Defense Minister

Oterola said a 30-day national emergency declared curtailing civil liberties, including

freedom of movement and assembly, where told six people died over the weekend in similar

protests. Professor, a very good day to you. The Belarte remarks last week about soon

to hold elections in 24, sooner than necessary, look to be calming to the population watching

the drama of the last week. So I want to recover what has happened to lead to this violence.

Pedro Castillo is now detained as a rebel. I believe rebellion was used in the charges
