the Latin American Research Professor for the U.S. Army War College Strategic

Studies Institute.

He's traveling, is in Europe.

We're going to Mexico.

Amlow, the very popular grandfatherly figure who loves to do television in the morning and

speak of the matters on his mind that day.

Very successful.

He's on what Reuters calls a farewell tour. Across the

country this summer writes Reuters, outgoing President Amlow, holding what he

calls a farewell tour, festive weekend rallies where his most fervent

supporters by souvenir dolls in his likeness, Wave placards, in Chan his name.

Lopez-Obrador's Nack for whipping up support and is relished for basking in it.

Has investors and opponents worried he isn't simply passing the baton to a successor,

but will instead run the country from behind the scenes.

Professor, sometimes it's okay to regard a smile as a smile.

He has reason to want to rest. He's a senior figure. He's been president for six years after

running for that office for about 60, I believe. And so a farewell tour is wise. Are we suspicious? Is Reuters right to be suspicious, saying

that people think he might rule behind the lines?
