I'm John Bachelor.

We go to Argentina. There's no pending election, but the election

of Javier Malay means that every day that decision by the Argentinian people is judged in the marketplace as well as on the world stage.

I mentioned the world stage because Harvey Malay is a spectacular presentation.

He's TV savvy. He has a Beatles haircut. He has an unusual relationship

with both his dogs, his sisters dogs, music. He's a fun guy and he's right now in California visiting

with the Silicon Valley barons as well as making remarks at the Hoover Institution I believe at

Stanford but in any event he's a spectacular road show how does this connect with

what's going on in Argentina professor I don't want to judge Malay.

I want to admire him.

At the same time, there is doubt suddenly

in Argentina, I learn, because he's made some cabinet changes.

Early on, after your trip to Argentina, you said that Malay better hurry,

that the Peronistas are not going to wait,

that the opposition from the Kirchneristas is real and that he needs to show progress.

Inflation has come down from atmospheric to merely high or unusually high. However, the marketplace right now is hesitating because of these

cabinet changes. What is your measure of him on the road? Is that a way to govern Argentina to be in California or is that what

you'd have to say is he enjoys being a celebrity so much the presidential term doesn't much interest him. Thank you.
