We look for good news elsewhere, but we must begin with a hospital report, a previous

president of Brazil, Tire Bolsonaro, who's right now not in good shape from the photograph that

was sent out with him offering thumbs up. He's a brave man, but he's in hospital after a lengthy surgery to do with

the assassination attempt when he ran for president for the first term. Ernesto, can you help

us understand this operation and the ordeal that President Bolsonaro faces? Thank you.

Yeah, sure, John. Yeah, he underwent a 12-hour surgery yesterday. This is a

consequence of the attempt against his life back in 2018. He was stabbed in the belly,

very close to, he was very close to dying. And all the way since, he has had to go surgery many, many times.

I don't remember how many, but maybe more than five times for sure, maybe 10 times from

time to time.

So, yeah, this reminds us of political violence of something that was never clarified.

Well, the person who did this was arrested, but no one knows the connections that this guy had.

It tends to point towards the left-wing parties in Brazil.

But so that's a mystery.

It has to do probably with the stress that President Bolsonaro is undergoing

with the beginning of the trial for attempted coup or

all that situation that we have been commenting here.

Also, the fact that he's trying to become electable again to run next year for president.
