This is the new world report I'm John Bachelor with my colleague, Professor Abin Atlas,

of the U.S. Army War College, two significant elections, one concluded, Guatemala.

The winner is anti-corruption candidate Bernardo Aravalo, and then Ecuador pending the final

election soon enough, however we begin in Guatemala, because this is the most populous

state in Central America, part of the Northern Triangle, contributing to the mysteries of

the migration surge at the U.S. border and Professor Andy Corruption is how CNN, Reuters

and the New York Times present Aravalo.

There are questions about the party he represented at the polls, but right now he is recommending

none of the above to dispute the ruling class that lost out, at least that's a perception

from outside.

And the immediate Reuters headline, Aravalo wants more U.S. temporary work programs to stem

migration, is Aravalo the future of Guatemala, or is this, meet the new boss, same as the

old boss?
