October General Election.

The center left leader announced within these last days, throwing open a race to lead

the perines coalition at the ballot.

Fernández now steps aside.

Why this matters is that Argentina is struggling under ruinous inflation.

We're looking at something exceeding 100% inflation.

We're looking at going into a bank and having to bring a wheelbarrow.

It's that bad.

Argentina's economy will teeter on the edge of a deeper crisis in the run to October's

presidential vote as going market anxiety adds to a harmful mix of drought-induced

recession, skyrocketing inflation, and a flight to the safe haven of the U.S. dollar.
