War College discussing Central and South America, the Americas, and elections.

Democracy is challenged.

There is disorder in the world.

The U.S. is not exempt from the challenges of democracy.

Do you put the face of democracy and then carry on with the elite?

Do you put the face of democracy and then move into law fair?

One side using the courts against the other side, pending elections forever.

That is not something limited to the Americas, it's worldwide.

Right now we're discussing two elections.

One apparently concluded Guatemala, the most popular state in Central America, and part

of the Northern Triangle, you will recall early in the Biden administration, critical to

understanding the surge of migrants at the U.S. border with Mexico.

That is continued for two years.

Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras have not been solved because of narco terrorism

threats to the population because of the damage done by climate, Alonini, El Nino, all

of that.

And then there is the governance matter.

Right now the professors here to continue his observations about Bernardo Aravalo,

the newly elected president-elect of Guatemala, and the challenges for him to get into office

in five months, and what it means for Guatemala in the region.
