Joseph, there's been an election in the Americas where there's no controversy, the Dominican

Republic has now reelected its president, everybody's happy, there's a big grinning picture.

Is this a surprise, Joseph?

welcome no so this is the problem the forgotten election in Latin America the

election of the Dominican Republic is an important election because the Dominican

Republic is in the United States.

It's also in the Caribbean community and it's also a major trade hub for many countries throughout

the Caribbean.

So the victory of President Abina Dder, he was the incumbent, he's the current president,

so he just won a re-election by a large margin.

I mean he won by almost double his opponent is actually just the status quo.

And in today's kind of polarized volatile political

environment throughout the world the status quo always isn't a bad thing.

And so in this case I think the unevent is actually a pretty much a successful event because we're going to be able to count on the

the Dominican Republic to continue its partnership with a free world.

And so in that sense, President Abedina there we congratulate him on his re-election.
