Just returned from traveling to Argentina, and we're headed there for good news.

I begin, however, with a celebrity headline from Argentina.

Lula de Silva, the president of Brazil, now much in the news because of tariffs and the

lawfare alleged against the former president, Bolsonaro, is also in the news because,

right before the 4th of July,

Lula traveled to Buenos Aires to visit former Argentine President Christina Kirchner,

important detail.

Ms. Kirchner is under house arrest for some time for corruption and other allegations made by the present government

and its supporters, Javier Malay.

So, well, let's turn from Lula and Brazil and Kirchner.

That was then to now.

Professor, there is no burning headline in Reuters for some days now from Argentina.

This is usually understood as good news, is it?

It's a, there actually are a lot of good news headlines, John. Part of the irony, especially

spending, you know, almost a week in Argentina talking with security and other officials

there is that the number of headlines that did not make it to

Washington this week, especially for example, the very important meeting that their Ministry of

Defense, their Minister of Defense Luis Caputo had with our Secretary of Defense Pete Hegsef

that had to do with taking forward a number of very important collaboration activities,

including Argentina's purchase of U.S. F-16 fighters and striker armored vehicles and delivery of helicopters and other things.
