the Trump administration has a moment to address the clear threat throughout Latin America of transnational agents, people who look to

undermine comity and governance in order to not just left of center, but to feed the ambitions

of adversaries of the Western Hemisphere in the United States.

I'm looking now at reports from Bolivia.

This is Reuters in these last hours.

Bolivia's Morales barred from running for political office.

Joseph, I come to you on this because Arce, the president of Bolivia,

is said to be a protege of Eva Morales. Recently, Arce, the president of Bolivia, is said to be a protege of Eva Morales.

Recently, Arce was in the news, having announced that there was a coup attempt against him.

It puzzled everybody because the man in charge of the coup was seen as a loyal member of the regime at some point.

And then there was the incident of so-called bullet holes being fired at a convoy that carried Evo Morales, who'd been given permission by Arce to return to the

country. And now this report that Bolivia is banning Morales from running for presidency,

which is his intention.

Who's driving this, Joseph?

Who's gaining from this game that they're playing in Bolivia?

Well, I think, you know, the main driving force are the external actors that are looking to create conflicts throughout Latin America to be able to benefit from those conflicts

to greater their position and their entrenchment inside the region.

So those specific internal actors would be the ones that we would probably think of, which is China, Russia, and Iran.

China, Russian, Iran are both longtime allies of Evo Morales, meaning when Evo Morales was president of Bolivia, he took the Bolivia away, distance from the United States and made them much closer to the geopolitical orbit of Beijing, Tehran, Moscow.
