Javier Malay, Argentina's far-right outsider wins presidential election.

Argentina's have elected far far right outsider Javier Malay, 53 as a new president.

With almost all votes counted, Mr. Malay had won close to 56% in the decisive runoff ahead of his left-wing rival Sergio Masa, the finance minister, with 44%.

Ernesto Arruja, former foreign minister of the Republic of Brazil joins me and Joseph

Umyer the executive director of secure-free society. Joseph is on the west coast of the

United States or nestos in Buenos Aires, so I go immediately to Buenos Aires the ambience of the city the night

after the earthquake of the Perenistas out and Malay who is a libertarian self-described and a dollarizer self-described, a man who campaigned sometimes with a chainsaw, a man who has said that he's going to liberate his country from the constraints of these years of debt and gloom.

Ernesto, the mood in Buenos Aires when this happened.

Did everybody expect it? Was it a surprise? Good evening to you,

Ernesto. Good evening, John. I think that was the best surprise in a generation for

Argentinians. Yesterday, as numbers started to come out, people started to realize that it was no longer a dream.

There's a feeling of relief, I think, in the streets.

It's a beautiful spring day in Argentina because it's

spring here, right? And southern hemisphere. But I don't know if I'm projecting it, but I feel the

areas lighter. It it has it smells like

like something different smells like liberty it smells like freedom it's a

historic moment at least for a generation if not more.
