Equing's office in sad news, the passing of Lani Poffo,

aka the genius, aka leaping Lani at 68 years old.

This was broken last night by his colleague and friend,

Haxal Jim Duggan, who tweeted the following, with a very heavy heart.

I've been asked to let everybody know about the passing of our friend and colleague,

Lani Poffo, the genius, rest in peace, Lani.

So Lani's an interesting guy for me to consider,

because like from my personal standpoint,

like I, in the moment, as his career was happening,

obviously much of his work took place before my time.

And then a lot of it later on, maybe took place in promotions that I wasn't really focused on.

Saying the best specific time.

So for me, like my experiences of him have mostly been from going back and re-walking old stuff,

which is the case with a lot of older wrestlers, of course.
