0:53.6	On the 8th of April 2021, Egyptologists working in Luxor announced a major fight, a settlement
1:01.5	or village, dating to the reign of Armonhotep III, and probably Arcanaten as well.
1:08.6	In a public statement, the archaeological missions overall leader, Dr. Zahihawas, called it
1:15.0	the Lost Golden City.
1:17.0	I'll come back to that in a moment, but first let's talk about the site.
1:23.0	The new town is located on the West Bank of Luxor, Ancient Wasit or Thebes.
1:29.2	It is north of the Royal Palace at Malcata, where Armonhotep III lived and celebrated
1:36.4	his said festivals, Episode 100.
1:40.0	Also, the town is south of Armonhotep's mortuary temple, the enormous complex that featured
1:47.4	the colossi of Memnon.
1:50.1	So the new village is halfway between two major sites associated with Armonhotep III.
1:57.8	It is most likely connected to both.
