Jared Dubin, I'd love to thank you for being our rock over these last seven years.

On this program, we've done three man pods, we've done two man pods, but it would be remiss

of us not to include this time for the first time in the New York Knicks, the man with whom

you spent two hours on the phone ranking Knicks, Donovan Mitchell, trade pieces, Fred Katz,

Fred, how are you?

It was magical to ours.

It was a wonderful two hour, a couple hours that proved fraught in the end, but still not

at two hours, I would never give back.

Absolutely.

Yeah, and since you guys did that, I really, this is the season outlook, but I don't think

either of you really spoken publicly yet, at least from an opinion standpoint on what

you make of the fact that Donovan Mitchell is not a Nicky, went to the Cleveland Cavaliers

and said the Knicks apparently were not willing to pony up enough to get him.

Jared, start with you first.

What do you think of that?

I was up the mind that while it would be a good thing to get Donovan Mitchell on the team,

the Knicks to get him, we're going to have to give up too much to be able to make the

next deal that would actually get them into contention.

That's something that Fred wrote about and an opinion that I agreed with, essentially,

it would be great to get a player as good as Donovan Mitchell, but they were basically

going to have to do the Carmelo trade all over again, where they gave up essentially
