The Jets are a bit up and down in their training camp scrimmage, as expected, but there is some undeniable good news coming from Saturday scrimmage.

with the Jets training camp schedule, typically the weekend before their opening preseason game,

they kind of ramp things up a little bit. They have a scrimmage. And, you know, these scrimmages always kind of have the same result to them. It's always a bit of a mixed day. And that's just the nature of training camp. So you see a lot of the reports coming out and they're saying, well, there was some good, some bad. That's the way these things work in training camp, not just in the scrimmage, but in these training camp practices in general. And there's a very simple reason for that. I'm sure you could probably guess it, is that when it's Jets versus Jets, somebody's success comes at the expense of one of his teammates. If the offense, if Jet's

offense does well, it means the defense is doing poorly and vice versa. So it never ceases to

make me chuckle every year when you look at the scrimmage where you say, well, there

was some good and some bad coming out of the reports. But I think that there was one very good piece of news. And I think it's a relatively

minor piece of news in the big picture. But by all accounts, Aaron Rogers looked really sharp.

Rich Samini of ESPN actually tallied the stats. And Rogers was 19 of 30 for 210 yards. By all accounts, you know, he looked pretty good.

Made a couple plays outside the pocket on the move.

I'll play mostly from the pocket.

That's kind of like just like another check on Rogers' road to recovery.

It's not necessarily the biggest thing in the world.

In fact, I think we're all expecting Rogers to go out and play really well this year.

It would be a surprise if he didn't. But this is just another step he had to take. You know, he's been playing in practices. He hasn't missed a practice rep at all in preseason so far this year. And now, you know, he got into a situation that's a little bit more like a game situation. You know, it's not entirely a game situation.
