I'm in New York filming 2 videos for the artist series. I had the day off today so I decided to do a little photography tour of New York City. In this video I'll take you to see Saul Leiter's Apartment, W. Eugene Smith's Jazz Loft and Richard Avedon's home/studio. Filmed entirely on my Sony RX100 Mk IV in Slog2. I've got the day off today so I'm going to give you guys probably the nerdiest tour of

New York City you've ever seen so come on with me and let's have a look. So right now we are in the East Village and I've talked about Saw Lighter a lot on the show and this is a little bit stalker. I'm not sure which apartment is but this building behind me is 111

East 10th Street and that's where Saw Lighter lived. Oh, So this is 6th Avenue between 28th and 29th Street and behind me is 821 6th.

This is the famous jazz loft where Harold Feinstein actually moved into this building in the 1950s and he turned his space over to Eugene Smith

who proceeded to wire the entire thing up for audio recording and took some amazing photos of jazz musicians that would come jam in this space.

This was everybody from Miles Davis to Thelonious Monk and included photographers such

as Dien Arbus and Henri Cartier Breson as well.

So that is the famous jazz loft. Our final stop today brings us to 75th Street on the upper east side and this

building behind me this brick carriage house was Richard Avidon's apartment
