We start with the deadly New Year's morning attack in New Orleans.

The FBI says the man who plowed into a crowd on Bourbon Street in a pickup truck,

killing at least 14 people, acted alone.

This was an act of terrorism.

It was premeditated and an evil act. We do not assess at this point that anyone

else involved in this attack is involved in this attack except for Shamsa Din Jabbar,

the subject you've already been briefed on. Jabar was killed during a shootout with police.

Authorities say they spotted him on

surveillance footage placing two improvised explosive devices and coolers in the Bourbon Street area,

which were recovered by FBI bomb technicians. Authorities say the 42-year-old Army veteran had an

ISIS flag and what appeared to be an explosive device in the truck he rented, which authorities

believe he drove from Houston to New Orleans.

According to multiple officials briefed on the investigation, Jabbar made a series of videos

he posted on Facebook, discussing plans to kill his family and having dreams that helped

inspire him to join ISIS.
