0:47.2	laughing. I mean, it's just the absurdity of this guy's allegations, as we pointed out yesterday,

1:03.3	First, however, we have breaking news on the latest in the investigation into the assassination attempt against President Trump Saturday at the White House Correspondence Dinner.
1:07.3	Yesterday, 31-year-old Cole Allen, a self-proclaimed, devout Christian, and graduate of the
1:14.0	prestigious Caltech University, did not challenge his pretrial detention, meaning he will remain
1:19.8	behind bars until his trial. I mean, that was happening no matter what, but even he agrees
1:24.2	it needs to happen. He's charged with one count of attempting to assassinate the president and two firearms counts. He faces up to life in prison. He's currently incarcerated in the same DC jail complex that housed many of the J6 defendants. And he's due back in court on May 11th for another pretrial hearing.
1:44.9	Now, it's no wonder he did not fight the pretrial custody matter yesterday because, look,
1:49.6	the surveillance video that was released by the Department of Justice that same day,
1:54.9	it's all there, black and white.
1:58.1	According to the DOJ, Cole was planning his attack for at least a few
2:01.4	weeks. They alleged that on April 6th, he booked a room in the Washington Hilton to be
2:08.2	occupied between April 24th and April 26th. The White House correspondent's dinner was, of course,
2:14.4	on Saturday night in that hotel April 25th.
