John, so the major news of this week is the death of Pope Francis.

And I want to get to that in a little bit more depth in the next

segment. So what I want to do today is start the show with two stories out of Washington that

maybe we can hit in this first segment. And then we'll talk more about the legacy of Pope Francis

and kind of what comes next for the global Catholic church and the effect on Protestantism as well.

So these stories out of Washington are, in the first place, there was a meeting this week

of a new task force in the Trump administration that's supposed to combat anti-Christian

bias coming from the federal government.

And this had some heavy hitters.
