These are the Stations of the Cross as written by Father Simuland.

It is the most beautiful compilation of the Stations of the Cross of our Lord Jesus' passion that I have ever encountered.

I put this on my podcast a year or two ago, but I read it too rapidly.

As I slow it down this passion tide, it is my prayer that

you can pray this, whether it's at home or driving in a car.

The first station, Jesus is condemned to death. We adore thee, O Christ, and we bless thee,

because by thy Holy Cross, thou hast redeemed the world.

Friday morning, morning full of the full suffering of Jesus.

Jesus, too wise and too noble to be understood by the world and the

wise of this world, too wise with a wisdom which terrifies the prudent cowardliness of the world and

its reasons so reasonable not to love.

The world does not understand love.

It does not understand Jesus because it cannot tolerate

being loved by a love that it is afraid to imitate.

The world does not comprehend the wisdom of God so unreasonable.

His reasons are too sublime.

His wisdom promises neither power nor prestige.

It only promises order, peace, and beatitude.

What does it ask?

Poverty, humility, littleness, and these are not reasonable.
