Coming up on a forum, we'll meet poet and conceptual artist Jonah Mixon Webster, whose debut

poetry collection stereotype explores blackness, sexuality, and calls out government indifference

to the struggles for clean water in his hometown of Flint.

First, though, we'll look at the election to recall Governor Gavin Newsom.

It's close, if you consider likely voters.

A new poll finds among those saying they plan to vote,

47% favor recalling the governor, while 50% oppose it.

We look at the role of voter turnout in determining Newsom's fate.

Next, on Forum. I'm Mina Kim. A new UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll finds that voters likely to cast ballots in the recall election are nearly evenly split on whether to remove Governor Newsom from office.

47% say they'd recall the governor, while 50% say they wouldn't.

If the governor wants to boost that margin, he doesn't have a lot of time to do it. Mail
