Summary

Ninety Four year-old Marie Belacastro was murdered by her teenage neighbor Jacob LaRosa on March 31st, 2015. In 2018, LaRosa was sentenced to life without parole plus 31 years in 2018. Now a new Ohio law could change LaRosa's fate.

Marie Rose Velocastro? Yes. She had such high energy. If I had one tenth of her energy, I would be richer than Bezos.

She was just amazing, always cooking, always cleaning, but not in an obsessive manner,

but just she had a lot of love.

wherever and whenever she could. So I loved surprising her for a visit because if we told her

we were coming, she would end up preparing way too much two, three days in advance. And then I'd

at her doorstep, it was the best, A, because she was surprised and B, because she didn't have to do

all that prep work. She was a young at heart type person. Her favorite comedians were Ron White

and Lewis Black. She was an enigma. I mean, she was on one hand a church lady, but on the

other hand, when I visited during college years, she would always give me beer money. So she was

just the kind of person everybody, she was friends with everybody. And she was really a funny, fun lady and very popular among my friends and my sister's friends, like almost to the point where we got a little jealous.
