But first, the big idea.

Police have identified the 11 victims killed in Saturday's mass shooting at the Pittsburgh Tree of Life Synagogue, the deadliest attack on Jews in American history.

The victims were the synagogues most faithful. They included

two brothers who'd walked to services each week since boyhood who were now in their 50s.

They handed out hugs and hallows at Tree of Life's front entrance.

They included the local doctor who helped set up Dor Hadash's weekly meetings and let its

Torah studies and an 88-year-old retired accountant known to attend services every Friday, Saturday,

and Sunday. They were tree of life's beating heart, as much fixtures of the synagogue as the fading pews. Their names were Joyce Feinberg,

Richard Gottfried, Rose Malanger, Jerry Rabinowitz, Cecil Rosenthal, David Rosenthal, Bernice Simon, Sylvan Simon, Daniel Stein,

Melvin Wax, and Irving Younger.

The man who has been charged with their murders, Robert Bowers, was described as a loner,

who mostly kept to himself as he posted hate-filled anti-Semitic rants online.

According to court documents filed Sunday, Bowers told a SWAT officer after being shot

and captured, quote, they're committing genocide to my people.

I just want to kill Jews.
