Summary

To the Christ mind, the spiritual mind, which in our language we will call the fourth-dimensional focus, the past, the present, and the future of the natural mind are a present whole. It takes in the entire array of sensory impressions that man has encountered, is encountering, and will encounter. The only reason you and I are functioning as we are today, and are not aware of the greater outlook, is simply because we are creatures of habit, and habit renders us totally blind to what otherwise we should see; but habit is not law. It acts as though it were the most compelling force in the world, yet it is not law. We can create a new approach to life. If you and I would spend a few minutes every day in withdrawing our attention from the region of sensation and concentrating it on an invisible state and remain faithful to this contemplation, feeling and sensing the reality of an invisible state, we would in time become aware of this greater world, this dimensionally larger world. The state contemplated is now a concrete reality, displaced in time. This is is the THIRD lesson of Neville Goddard's Five Lessons In 1948 the modern mystic Neville Goddard presented a series of lessons in Los Angeles that many have come to regard as the teacher's clearest, most penetrating explanation of his methods of mental creativity. In them, Neville explains why your mental images and feelings determine your future. He provides his most direct, exquisitely clear method on how to explore the divine nature of your mind and use it to create the life you want. Preserving his words exactly as those original students heard them, the five lessons are: 1. Consciousness Is the Only Reality 2. Assumptions Harden into Fact 3. Thinking Fourth-Dimensionally 4. No One to Change but Self 5. Remain Faithful to Your Idea The techniques in these lesson can profoundly change your life. These may be Neville at his very best in teaching how to use your imagination to create your reality.

Today we return to the five lessons from Neville Goddard, and this is lesson three,

0:16.0

perhaps the best of the five lessons.

It is called Thinking Fourth Dimensionally. This continues on a very

0:23.8

deep discussion of how to use the imagination to create reality using teachings from the Bible.

0:30.1

In particular, he separates the two outlooks, the carnal mind and the mind of Christ.

The five lessons are my favorite lecture so far. These are absolutely fantastic in covering all the ways that you can use your imagination

0:47.3

to create your reality. Once again, Neville Goddard was an amazing, mystical teacher who taught the power of imagination,

0:56.7

as well as a unique interpretation of the Bible that has opened up its secrets to many.

1:01.9

So far we've covered the first two lessons which our consciousness is the only reality

1:06.9

and assumptions harden into fact, thinking fourth dimensionally.

1:14.8

There are two actual outlooks on the world possessed by every man, and the ancient

1:19.7

storytellers were fully conscious of these two outlooks. They called the one the carnal mind

1:24.6

and the other the mind of Christ. We recognize these two centers of thought.

1:30.1

In the statement, the natural man receiveth not the things of the spirit of God,

1:34.8

for they are foolishness into him.

1:38.0

Neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned.

1:42.4

1 Corinthians 2.14. To the natural mind, reality is confined to the

1:47.2

instant called now. This very moment seems to contain the whole of reality. Everything else is

1:52.9

unreal. To the natural mind, the past, and the future are purely imaginary. In other words,

1:58.6

my past, when I use the natural mind, is only a memory image of

2:02.1

things that were. And to the limited focus of the carnal or natural mind, the future does not exist.
