You don't know about the children of Pleasant Pond Sanitarium?

I'm surprised that there are people in our group that haven't heard the story before.

We're all paranormal investigators in one way or another, so I just assumed that we would all be on the same page.

Todd, Sarah, and Isaac are well versed on a lot of the local ghost stories and legends, but apparently Todd and Isaac somehow completely

missed one of the area's most disturbing stories. The old abandoned asylum is not far ahead of

us.

We're nearly at the fence, but I have just enough time to bring Todd and Isaac up to speed.

If we are going into the asylum, I want them to at least have some idea of what to expect.

It was a long time ago, back in the 60s.

Rich families would send their kids here to try to cure them of whatever they were afflicted

with. Mental illness, violent disobedience, it didn't

really matter what their reasons were. It was because those kids were considered to be

embarrassments, Sarah says beside me as we continue to approach the fence.

Those entitled, selfish silver spoon families couldn't stand the idea of their children having any flaws or any struggles.

That was beneath them.

So they sent those kids to this place, far away, where they wouldn't be able to disgrace

their family trees.

That's what this place really was.

Poor parenting.

I nod.

Exactly.

It only got worse from there.
