My guest for episode 218 is Pat Mastellato.

He started as an L.A. session drummer in the mid-70s, playing, among others with Kenny

Logan's Patti LaBelle, the Pointer Sisters in Al Jaro.

He was then a founding member of Mr. Mr.

Recording four albums with them through 1990, through this time, and afterwards he was still

doing session work with XTC, the Sugar Cubes, Hall and Oates, the Rembrandts, he played on the

Friends theme song, Matthew Sweet, Eddie Money, many more.

Then there was a turning point in his career where he joined the new double

trio lineup of King Crimson in 1994.

And he persisted through the various incarnations of that until they broke up in 2021.

He played with various King Crimson-related spin-offs, including Stickmen with Tony Levin

and one of my past guests here, Marcus Reuter, when Tony is busy playing with Peter Gabriel,

others, and he and Marcus play with Trey Gunn instead as Tuna.

And he's involved with many other projects.

Today we're going to talk about the song 31 from Tuna from their

2003 album T1 contact information.
