Welcome to episode 101 of the MTB podcast presented and hosted by World Wide

0:10.8

Cyclary. This is Jeff. I'm Jared. I'm Liam. And today we have a special guest on the

0:15.8

podcast for a second time. I'm Nico. Nico is a longtime friend of mine and a

0:21.2

World Cup racer who's doing something unbelievably unique in 2022. You are

0:26.0

building your own bike and racing it. Any more description on that? Yeah. I've

0:32.0

raced World Cup for the past 13 seasons and this year I thought it'd be a fun

0:37.0

project to take everything I learned from the various teams I've raced for and

0:41.6

and build my own bike. That was kind of just custom tailored to me exactly and

0:48.4

learn a lot about the process of building a bike through racing it and

0:52.8

developing it at the races which is a it's a good way to accelerate the

0:57.5

development process. The date of the race doesn't change so you've got a dead

1:02.1

deadline there and you always learn so much more pushing it at the top level. So

1:07.4

it's been a really fun season again to do all that. Nice. Yeah. It's been

1:12.3

unbelievably cool to just be a part of one of the sponsors sponsoring what your

1:16.6

project is doing and how it's been evolving is rad and you are on episode 91. So

1:21.8

if anyone wants to go back to episode 91 that was kind of when we were talking

1:24.9

more about that pre a whole bunch of races and learning that you're going to

1:27.9

talk about now and on that episode we covered a lot of high-pivot stuff

1:32.0

because that was kind of earlier on in the days where you were testing two

1:35.4

different bikes, one high-pivot, one regular pivot. Yeah, which was pretty

1:39.5

interesting. So we're going to talk about all of that stuff but if you really

1:42.1

want to dive deep into the high-pivot stuff go back to episode 91. We'll link
