Hey, would you open your Bibles this morning really quickly to the book of Nehemiah?

The book of Nehemiah, please, in your Bible this morning. And we're in Chapter 8. For those of you

that might just be joining us here at Faith Baptist Church,

we've been preaching a series of messages from the book of Nehemiah,

and the title of the series has been,

when God interrupts your life.

I always want to be a person in whose life God can come and interrupt.

I want to be that person that is sensitive to the voice of God.

God is in the interruption business.

Sometimes in our life we get so zoned in on what we're doing, where we're going,

what our priorities we think should be,

and yet God has a way of using circumstances.

God has a way of bringing just the right person. God has a way of inserting just the right

burden in our heart to interrupt us. And I want to be that person. I want to be that person

and whose life God can come and speak to me and change my direction if need be.

That was Nehemiah.

Nehemiah was a man who loved the Lord.

Nehemiah was a man obviously that had a walk with God.
