So, Camille got pickpocketed on the subway train in Rome. We went on a trip there with our

0:25.2

family a few weeks ago like kind of a Christmas magic trip. It was great. It was the

0:29.2

last minute thing. We had another trip planned and it all fell through because of sickness at the last minute and then we got healthy and we were like, okay, where's the cheapest place in the world to go that's interesting?

0:40.0

And it just happened to be my favorite place in the world to go that's interesting is Italy

0:43.8

I love Italy I've tried to learn Italian I've kind of spoken Italian at a couple points in my life

0:50.0

I don't have any sense that because I've visited there a lot I somehow have any purchase on the place.

0:54.8

I just like it. I like the people. I like the history. I like the culture. It's just a magical place and I love to go there

the coolest thing ever, and I felt this great sense of wonder the first time I went there.

1:45.3

Well you'd never get that feeling again but if you want something like it you take people you

1:50.3

care about you take people you love and I've had the chance to do that a

1:53.8

whole bunch and to go explore with a whole bunch of different people who really

1:57.7

mean a lot to me and watch them unwrapped the present of Italy and Rome and all the

2:01.6

history and everything so I wanted that for my kids.

2:04.0

That's why we took the trip. I think they got that experience. But unfortunately we also

2:08.6

got this other life lesson about traveling and being an obvious outsider, no matter how much we try to not

2:16.0

look like an obvious outsider, we did look like obvious outsiders.

2:19.0

Clearly somebody marked us on a crowded subway train, They acted like they didn't know each other.
