And this week I'm talking to Alex Matsuo about her book, One Bed Over, A Hospital Haunting.

Alex is a paranormal researcher, singer and author. She is the founder of the Association of

Paranormal Study and runs the blog and YouTube channel The Spooky Stuff. Alex has written

several books about the paranormal and has been featured on KPBS, San Diego, Fox News

and in the Washington Post. Alex was most recently seen on the travel channel's haunted

hospitals as well as most terrifying places in America. Hi Alex, thanks a lot for coming

on to the podcast. Hey Simon, thanks for having me. Your book is called One Bed Over, a Hospital Haunting, and it's fascinating book.

Could you tell us, you know, what's it about?

Because you've written other books about other stuff, but this is a particular story,

isn't that?

It is.

It is, yes.

So a hospital haunting, One Bed bed over a hospital haunting is about essentially me dealing

with a very odd piece of paranormal phenomena it whether we want to say it was a spirit attachment or some sort of um

poltergeist activity or just me processing incredible trauma in a very spooky way um it's uh

it's about basically this this phenomenon i was dealing with after um a really devastating car accidents where I almost lost my life.

And yeah, it happened in, let's see, the accident itself happened on New Year's Eve 2005.
