Summary

(00:00-26:21) – Query & Company opens on a Friday with Jake Query at Prime47 for Fast Break Friday with producer Eddie Garrison back in the studio to discuss some of their takeaways from day one of the NCAA Tournament. They also discuss the news that the Indiana Pacers will be without Ivica Zubac for the rest of the season with a fractured rib and the report that Indiana could select Cameron Boozer first overall, if they win the NBA Draft Lottery.

(26:21-39:44) – Mt. Vernon’s Luke Ertel joins Query & Company ahead of the Marauders semi-state matchup tomorrow morning against Decatur Central at New Castle High School. Jake asks Luke about how he has had to adjust to becoming the guy that kids are asking to take pictures with and get an autograph from, how challenging it was knocking off Pike last week, and explains why he wanted to go to Purdue.

(34:11-46:00) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake and Eddie discussing which NCAA Tournament games they will be locked into after the show, recapping Ivica Zubac’s five games with the Pacers, and address the report that the Pacers could select Cameron Boozer first overall.

(46:00-1:09:46) – GoldAndBlack.com’s Brian Neubert joins the show from St. Louis to preview tonight’s NCAA Tournament game for the Purdue Boilermakers against the Queens Royals. Does Queens have the makeup to make things interesting tonight? What switch was flipped for Matt Painter’s team in Chicago during the Big Ten Tournament? Plus, Brian highlights why the NCAA Tournament is one of the best events in all of sports because you get to see humanity unfiltered.

(1:09:46-1:22:52) – The IndyStar’s Kyle Neddenriep joins Jake Query ahead of the semi-state games tomorrow across the state to preview them. Jake asks Kyle about what kind of player Purdue will be getting next season in Luke Ertel, identifies Decatur Central as the Cinderella story of the IHSAA State Tournament, and provides his take on why we are starting to see so many players and coaches leaving high school programs in the state to go to a preparatory school.

(1:22:41-1:29:10) – Hour number two of Query & Company concludes with Jake and Eddie talking about what happened last night in Dayton with Miami keeping its season alive and gaining some fans with their win over SMU.

(1:29:10-1:57:12) – Kevin Bowen from the Fan Morning Show makes his weekly visit on Query & Company to give his perspective on the first day of games in the NCAA Tournament yesterday. Jake also asks Kevin if the offseason for the Colts has been underwhelming since there hasn’t been a big swing for a pass rusher and whether the Colts need to add another wide receiver to the room with the departure of Michael Pittman Jr.

(1:57:12-2:04:14) – Every Friday at 2:30pm, Jake Query shares a Good For The Heart story sponsored by Franciscan Health. Today, Jake replays two things that Luke Ertel said earlier in the show that Jake finds important to remember with high school athletics.

(2:04:14-2:12:04) – Today’s show closes out with Jake and Eddie highlighting what has gone on so far in the NCAA Tournament today and some things that they have heard about the Butler head coaching job with Thad Matta retiring.
