Technology and screen time have been my arch nemesis for years. I've prayed through and done the best I can, but I think we all could use some clarification, direction, and a plan! 0:13.9	already, I'm married to Daryl. We have eight kids, ages 13 to 26. We have four grandkids,
0:20.5	and we have been homeschooling for over 22 years.
0:24.6	Today I have a very special guest. I'm super excited. Leah Neiman is here to talk to us about media
0:31.4	and screen time. So many parents have talked to me about just the things they're struggling with

0:38.5	and media and how to handle technology with kids. And so I thought, you know, I think I need to
0:44.9	call a professional in on this. And so I had met Leah at a conference a few weeks ago. But first, I want to, I'm going to introduce her first and then I'll
0:57.3	tell you where we met. So Leah has been speaking for the past eight years to parents,
1:04.2	homeschooling groups, and teens about technology, social media, and parenting. She offers
1:09.2	sessions, advice, and resources so parents can raise kids with a
1:12.9	healthy perspective of technology and social media. So today she's going to be sharing with us
1:18.2	how to navigate the challenges of screen time while still being realistic about the role of technology
1:24.0	in our lives. And I think that's the big challenges. It's there. It's part of our life.
1:28.8	And so we need to be able to navigate this with our kids. And so like I said before, I met Leah several
1:36.2	weeks ago at a conference. And I sat down and chatted with her. And I think what stood out to me the most
1:42.4	was just her, she's had such a peaceful and joyful
1:46.9	attitude towards just media and screen time. Like she understood it. And for me, I don't know about
1:54.3	you guys, but for me, it's been like an arch nemesis all of these years with our kids just, you know, battling the time and the what's okay and what
2:04.3	isn't and then something new comes on the horizon and then it throws up the apple card or you think
2:09.1	your kids are doing what they're supposed to be doing and then you find out they're not.
