Summary

Pretty much everyone is now schooling from home at some level. Not only that, work has also returned home. This makes for a lovely recipe of childcare issues, conflicting schedules, and marital bliss. Okay, so the latter is a bit of an exaggeration. But what if we really could get on the same team?

In this episode, we talk about what we're learning and the adjustments we needed to make because of the new school-from-home routine. Surprise, surprise, it begins with the marriage. We share about a very real moment we had last week that blindsided us but got us back on the same team in a new way.

We also go in-depth about our current daily schedule and what's working. Hopefully, it'll give you some insight on how you can school from home in a more harmonious way.

And so we wanted to talk about this whole dynamic because last week we hit a roadblock.

0:54.0

Come on roadblock. We had one of those

0:55.2

days, you know. It was a day. It was a special day. And it was one of those days where we were, we realized

1:02.8

that we, so our circumstances, we have two oldest, the eight and the six year old who are actually

1:09.5

homeschooling. And then we have a three

1:11.0

month old that is an infant. And so you have to understand we're lacking sleep as well in the

1:18.2

middle of all of this process. And so while we're trying to navigate schooling from home,

1:24.0

we're also having to navigate a lack of sleep and how to communicate with one

1:27.9

another. And last week we hit a moment where we didn't communicate with one another in a very

1:32.6

helpful way. And my expectations of Christy, it's two priorities, right? Like we have to prioritize

1:40.3

the home and we have to prioritize work. And there's many of you who are working from home at the same time. Yeah. And, you know, I'm just, we're just going to be flat out honest. I mean,
